Fatherhood Friday's

The other night we decided to go to the ICubs game. The kids had never been to a game before so I figured why not since I can get free tickets from my work, it was also $1 hotdog night so we could all eat for cheap. We got there early so that Jen could feed the girls and we could leave early and not venture too far off our normal nightly schedule. The boys loved it being able to walk/run around a new place. We sat in the skybox for most of the game since it was so hot out (130 heat index on the field at the start of the game and 114 in the stands). I wanted to take the boys down so they could see the game a little closer and we lasted about an inning in those seats before the boys were soaked in sweat. The whole time we were down there all the boys wanted to do was hit the ball so I had to keep telling them that they can after the big kids were done. All and all it was a fun night and I think everyone had a good time. I can't wait to get back down there when it is a little cooler so we can watch more of the game.

Love, Jon/DADA
