Since plain cereal wasn't a hit in our house we decided to mix it with some veggies and see if they ate that any better and they did! The first couple times they were like WHAT is this crazy stuff but now they do pretty well!

*still nurse so well, you love your bonding time with your mama

*wish your brothers would stop their running and play with you for 10-15 minutes a day, you sure love to watch them and if you're crying and they come around you, you immediatly stop and smile!

*love to pull your paci out of our mouth, put it back in, turn it upside down in your hands and put it in again you will even "yell" really loud at it

*enjoy your exersaucer, you reach for all the things standing up and put them in your mouth and spin yourself around

New toys!

The girls love their Bebe Pods and I recently put on the trays with the toys and they just thought that was the best thing! We sometimes use these to feed them their cereal as well, works perfect to plop them up on the counter!

{Julianne & Jocelyn checking out their new toys}

The exersaucer and jumperoo are also new additions to our living room and they have such a great time in them! We rotate the girls back and forth in them and they play in them for a good 40 minutes at a time, gives me the opportunity to get stuff done, make breakfast or lunch, you get the point!

{The boys like them too I think they wish they could jump in them and play with them again!}

Snacker vs. Sleeper

alternatively titled Julianne vs. Jocelyn

So we've got this little battle going on in our house for the last 3 weeks and I am NOT fond of it at all!!

I nurse the girls before bed at 8 or 9 and they go down for the what used to be 6 or 6.5 hours. Now Julianne will wake up between 12:30 and 1:30 (just 3-4 hrs. after she ate) and want a snack and she has completely escaped from her giant swaddle blanket which woke her up in the first place. So I go into their room nurse her as she keeps her eyes closed for about 3-5 minutes and then reswaddle her and she sleeps again for another 2.5-3 hours and wakes up again. By now it is 2:30-3:30. So I give her another snack this time I'm too tired to stand so I sit on the floor by her crib and nurse her for a few more minutes then swaddle her up and lay her back down. Next time she wakes up is about 5 or 5:30 and this time I get Jon to go get her and bring her to me in bed and actually feed her, change her diaper and put her back to bed.

In the meantime Jocelyn sleeps in her crib having not moved since the time Jon laid her down at 8:30 or 9 who all she wants to do is sleep all night and not be woke up. Which we DO have to wake her up every night when we bring Julianne in for the big feeding. Jocelyn is just our little sleeper and could sleep for hours I think! So after I nurse them at 5 or 5:30 they go back to bed, Julianne for another 2.5-3 hours and Jocelyn will sleep some mornings until I wake her at 9AM!!

So that's the battle going on in our house right now, the snacker vs. sleeper and it has this mama REALLY REALLY tired!! I'm hoping they learn to start eating from a spoon VERY soon so they can get a little extra food in them!

Parent's Day 2011

The boys had Parent's Day at preschool a couple Friday's ago and Jon and I went and the boys' class had a little program all ready for us! They sang 4-5 songs, we helped them with a craft and had a snack with them. They were sooo proud to have us there and they did a great job singing their songs. We are so proud of them and they are growing up to be such sweet little boys.

Tagging our Tree

Last Saturday we went to tag our Christmas tree it was such a nice day. The boys had fun running throughout the tree farm and helping pick the perfect one!
We then decorated it to make sure it would be easy for daddy to spot when he and the boys go to cut it down the day after Thanksgiving!
